About Bad Ass Coffee

The indigenous inhabitants of Kona, Hawaii, fondly recall the era known as the "Bad Ass Ones." The resonating bellows of the donkeys that tirelessly hauled large amounts of coffee up and down the mountainside were a daily soundtrack. Inspired by the diligent hard work of these oft-overlooked creatures, we named our coffee company. Thus, the legend of the Kona Nightingale continues to resonate at The Bad Ass Coffee Company.
