Carter, Julia A, MD

Dr. Julie Carter, a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in glaucoma, hails from Sarasota, Florida. After earning a degree in mechanical engineering from the prestigious Georgia Tech, she contributed to a variety of patents during her career at Kimberly-Clark Corporation, devising products from baby diapers to surgeon’s gowns. Subsequently, she pursued her medical degree from the University of South Florida where she was honored by the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Strengthening her expertise, she served as the chief resident during her ophthalmology residency and took a fellowship year in glaucoma, both at the University of South Florida. She brings her experience and specialty in glaucoma and cataract surgery from a private practice in Bradenton to the Center for Sight Naples.
