Ghuman, Tom, MD

After completing his medical and surgical training specializing in retina and vitreous at West Virginia University, Morgantown, WV, Dr. Ghuman joined Retina Consultants of Southwest Florida in 2000 as part of a distinguished team including Dr. Walker, Dr. Wing, and Dr. Raskauskas. His contributions have reached far beyond his own practice; Dr. Ghuman has spearheaded numerous crucial clinical trials, pioneering therapies to treat retina and vitreous diseases which have gained FDA approval. Currently, he is leading multiple studies under the auspices of the National Health Institute and National Eye Institute. Beyond clinical practice and research, Dr. Ghuman has also held teaching positions at the University of Texas Medical Branch and West Virginia University and has acted as an Adjunct Assistant Clinical Scientist for the renowned Schepens Eye Research Institute, affiliated with Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts.
