The waterfront dining landscape in Naples was transformed in 1999 when Peter Tierney and Michael Moore launched the Turtle Club at the Vanderbilt Beach Resort. By prioritizing fresh seafood and sumptuous steaks and chops in a stunning beachfront location, the restaurant soon carved a niche for itself, becoming a coveted "secret spot" among local Neapolitans. This disrupted the previous monopoly held by upscale national hotels and private clubs over luxurious waterfront dining.
